Probe is helping students to gain hands-on work experience in the construction industry. Students get the opportunity to gain practical work skills whilst helping to renovate historic buildings in Hull. Heralded by Ofsted as a "positive and productive way of working with young people" the scheme has been a great success with employers and students.
DMP fully support this initiative and are delighted to be fully involved in the project providing an initial condition survey, a feasibility study and manage the project through to completion. Simon Delanery said, "It's what the construction industry needs to bring people on. You need to get (the students out of the classroom and) onto sites that aren't new with proper builders and do a proper working day."
You can learn more about the scheme and hear an interview with Simon Delaney of DMP in this special report from Estuary News.
